The advent of the Internet has created a new type of mlm business lead, much more different then before MLM branched to the Internet.  Marketing your business on the internet was less expensive and more effective even if you just pitched people your business full out mainly because there just wasn't as much competition in the beginning.  You could send someone an e-mail about your opportunity and they would read it and even click on the link to your companies replicated site if you were to do that today you would go straight to the spam or junk mail box.
